Not to mention having to buy the game twice for a lot of people.This guide is of course for Skyrim 1.5.97 and is not yet compatible with the 1.6 Anniversary update. so kind of in the same boat - would be nice to have an easy way to manage mods, sorting etc., without having to have the game installed and relying on applications that are not quite suited for the task. My Windows harddrive died some months ago, so all that stuff is gone, my PC sucks for gaming either way, and for me, going back to Windows just for Skyrim is not happening. There used to be another program that simplified all this considerably with a fairly decent gui, but I can't remember the name of it and can't seem to find it again on Nexusmods (maybe someone remembers what it was). It's actually far from user friendly, but it does the job.

The load order bat points to a text file you make on the PC, inside the "working" directory, where you put the mods and stuff, you list all the mods in Notepad or similar, it then simply copies the order of the mods to the final Skyrim ini that you end up creating and copying to the switch sd card.

Now if only I could figure out how to fix skyui to display the button prompts correctly. It's amazing how much the mods improve the base game! It's my first playthrough of Skyrim ever so I'm having a blast - I'm a bit lost but it's still fun lol.

I had to concert the ENTIRE Data folder and doing so gave me the correct files.

Turns out I converting the mod's file structure wrong - it had a parent folder called Data and within that folder was three files including the bsa that needed to convert, but since I followed the guide earlier in this thread about converting the Skyrim Special Edition patch which called for extracting the bsa first, I did that with the Inigo mod's bsa which produced an error. So with Inigo I did end up figuring it out. What exactly does the LOAD_ORDER.bat do? How does it know which order to load them to the ini? Luckily I only had about 5 mods so it wasn't too terribly difficult (though I'm not sure they're loaded correctly, but I haven't experienced any crashes) Thanks! Yeah I saw that portion of the tutorial but in the end my goal was to NOT have Skyrim installed on my pc so I ended up doing it by hand with =en this guide.

Regarding the Inigo mod from that earlier post, I don't remember any specifics as it was just a very brief test to try check compatibility for that other dude, but I don't think I did anything out of the ordinary other than simply running it through the CONVERT_MOD.BAT from the toolkit. Keep patches and stuff like that on the top of the load order, then generate the load order using the LOAD_ORDER.BAT which adds the mods properly to the Skyrim switch ini file. With some trial and error you can sort manually, but it's a good idea to stay away from large and complicated mods that may require fiddling around with files on the PC and eat up all the RAM on the Switch. I'm not 100% certain, but I don't think you can fool MO2 to sort for you without having the game installed first. Here's what the NX Toolkit guys themselves recommend:

Best way I found, even though it's a huge PITA, is to have the PC version installed specifically for Switch mods so you can check load orders and such using a mod manager. You don't have to have it installed on PC, but it helps quite a bit. Are you 100% sure you edited the ini file correctly? All files are where they are supposed to be, bsa's and so on?
