After the trailer, I was surprised then a bit skeptical. Then when February 2021 rolled around and I saw a trailer for Hot Wheels Unleashed though likely the Reddit community (I can’t remember where else I saw the trailer). That’s when I thought “Ok, so it looks like there won’t be any more standalone Hot Wheels Video games.”Īfter 20, I didn’t even imagine the slightest for another Hot Wheels Video game coming in my lifetime.
But after 2018, I was disappointed but understanding. However, after 4 years following World’s Best Driver, I figured that they were waiting for 2018 which was the brand’s 50th Anniversary to release the next video game that was bound to be one of the best in my opinion.
It wasn’t like in the early 2000s when it was common for 2 or 3 video games to be released in a singular year. See in 2010, Hot Wheels Track Attack came out and I waited a little longer than usual for the next release. Not counting DLC expansion packs nor mobile games, this is the first Hot Wheels video game in 8 years! When I first saw the teaser trailer all the way back in February, I was more surprised than excited because I didn’t expect Mattel to ask Milestone (Both Developer and Publisher) to make a video game since many say that World’s Best Driver (the last video game until Unleashed) mediocre game which I get (It’s not the worst game, but it’s not good from a Hot Wheels perspective) Especially what happened last year.īack in 2013, I figured “There’ll be another one on the way in a few years.”. But I encourage you to find out which cars work and which cars dont.With the game coming out tomorrow if you preordered the Ultimate Stunt Edition like me (I did for the Nintendo Switch) or in 4 days I figured to share my thoughts on Hot Wheels Unleashed

Added speed pads, which I also resized, to the appropriate places. I'd even love to see your tracks, so dont be shy to let me know about your creations!Ī: I used the Collision resizer mod, and I resized the black-gray rails found in the "Rails" section and changed their physical properties to Concrete. Q: If I make a track with a similar concept of your track or inspired of your track, do I have to credit you?Ī: Absolutely not! If I inspired you to make a similar track, thats awesome! You dont have to credit me either, I dont own the concept of the track I made. Q: Can I edit the track a little and publish it on the workshop?Ī: No, UNLESS you let me know first (comment on my profile, you dont need to wait for my approval, if I have a problem, I'll let you know), credit me and link the original version of the track, which is this, on your description of the item.
There will be a Simphys and Scars compatible version soon, though. Scars and Simphys seem to be much lighter cars, and when one of them use the speed pads, they go fast like hell, thus crashing them easily. Just keep trying! Adjust the speed of the speed pads if you need to.Ī: Because the default vehicle base need the Speedpads in order to make the track properly. It has more to do with Gmod itself, though. Q: Sometimes, the cars crash in the middle of the loops?Ī: This seems to be a glitch which I sadly cant do much about right now. And even then, mastering this track takes practice. Just like real Hot Wheels tracks, not all cars are meant to be used on it. I hope you enjoy! Expect more coming from me, and expect my upcoming tracks to be of better quality. The track is nowhere near being perfect, but it was a great time building it. This is also the first time I've made such a thing. Most vehicles will work although some may not work due to how they are made, although I've made the track to be as compatible as possible. Right now, it DOES NOT WORK WITH SIMPHYS AND SCARS ALTHOUGH I AM CONSIDERING MAKING A VERSION FOR THESE CARS. The purple spot is a nice little place to spawn your cars and hang out when you're not racing
If you and friend(s) race on it, if one ever falls off the track, they will have to place their car near to the previous checkpoint they crossed. The track has some red posts that acts as checkpoints. It's meant to look as if the track is in plastic. The track is meant to look like an Hot Wheels track toy. Despite this, the track works extremely well, every stunt and obstacle has been tested for hours and is well calculated. It is a difficult track that requires a good amount of driving skills in order to complete it. A giant Hot Wheels esque stunt track in gm_flatgrass.
